20 Chinese cities rival for the Top 10

The “2011 Amazing China – The Most Attractive Chinese Cities for Foreigners,” a poll for foreigners to choose their favorite cities, raised much interest among foreigners who are now working in China.

The top 20 candidate cities have already been selected, based on the first round of online voting. They are: Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Kunming, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi’an, Wuhan, Xiamen, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Dalian, Suzhou, Jiujiang, Anqing and Guilin.

Now we invite all interested foreigners to vote for their favorites from the 20 candidate cities. The final round of voting will be open until Dec 10, 2010. Winners will be chosen based on the combined results of 40 foreign experts’ evaluations with signatures (60%), 500 working-in-China foreigners’ votes with signatures (30%) and on-line votes (10%).

The final results will be compiled into a top-10 list and announced in early January 2012.(China Daily)
